My journey into entrepreneurship began long before I even knew what the word meant. When I was just 12 years old, my father lost his job—one of many times this happened throughout his life. Our family faced the very real possibility of losing everything, and in my confusion and concern, I asked my mother how one could avoid such a fate. Her response was simple but powerful: "You'd have to be the boss, or better yet, own the company." When I asked how one could own a company, she replied, "You'd have to be an entrepreneur." From that moment on, I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur, even if I didn’t fully understand what it entailed.

My path to entrepreneurship wasn’t easy. I faced numerous challenges, including the loss of companies I built from the ground up, dreams that never materialized, and the gut-wrenching experience of losing everything—more than once. But these hardships only fueled my determination. I don’t want anyone else to endure the same struggles I did if I can help it.

Coming from humble beginnings, my family’s history is a testament to resilience and hard work. My mother grew up in the poor ghettos of Dallas during the desegregation era, facing gang wars and violence, yet she rose to become the youngest VP at American Title before dedicating herself to motherhood. My father put himself through college while playing football and working multiple jobs, eventually building a career in the restaurant business.

My ancestors faced their own hardships. My great-great-grandfather on my mother's side, Bird, was a full-blood Native American who, along with his Scottish slave wife, lived in a teepee and worked on a plantation, picking cotton. My grandfather, one of 13 children who lived in a one-bedroom shack, slept in a kitchen cabinet and hunted for food. He later served in WWII and worked three jobs to support his family.

Despite qualifying for Mensa at age 10 with an IQ in the 99.99 percentile—so high they made me retake the test because they didn’t believe it—I struggled with traditional education due to undiagnosed epilepsy that affected my reading comprehension. Feeling "stupid" despite being intelligent was a tough pill to swallow, but it ignited my passion for helping others who struggle within conventional educational systems.

​​Over time, my passion evolved into a clear mission: to help individuals, companies, and their families break free from the cycles of hardship I endured. By empowering others to become successful, full-time business owners—and enabling larger businesses to grow even further—I aim to create a ripple effect that lifts others up, allowing them to thrive, secure their futures, and avoid the struggles that once defined my family's past.
